Frequently Asked Questions
Everything event planners and participants usually ask before booking a treasure hunt in Barcelona.
How many people do we need to book?
A minimum of 9 participants. There is no upper limit — we regularly run this activity for large corporate groups and events.
How long does the treasure hunt last?
The full activity runs 2.5 to 3 hours: about 20 minutes of briefing, 90–120 minutes on the route, and a 30-minute awards ceremony.
Where does the activity take place?
Through Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, along La Rambla, and around Barcelona Cathedral — all within walking distance in the historic city center.
Where does the activity start and finish?
We're flexible and happy to accommodate special requirements, but the activity usually starts at a pre-arranged place in the historic center — a square, a hotel, restaurant, pub or your company address near Plaça de l'Àngel.
Most of our clients time their hunt right before a restaurant booking they've already made somewhere in the Gothic Quarter. Just tell us where — we'll route the finish line straight to your table and hold the awards ceremony right there, the perfect kick-off to the evening.
Do participants need to speak Spanish?
No. The activity is guided and run in English as well as Spanish, so international teams can take part comfortably.
What happens if it rains?
The treasure hunt is an outdoor, walking activity, so it runs rain or shine in most conditions. Contact us ahead of your date if you're concerned about the forecast and we'll advise on options.
How are teams formed?
Teams can be formed by your own group beforehand, or our professional guide can split participants into balanced teams on the day.
What do teams need to bring?
Nothing beyond comfortable walking shoes and a phone or camera for photo tasks. We provide the information pack and materials each team needs to complete the route.
How much does Treasure Hunt Barcelona cost?
Can this be combined with a dinner or workshop?
Yes — many corporate groups pair the hunt with a dinner or workshop elsewhere in the day. Share your full itinerary when you contact us and we'll help plan the timing.
Is the treasure hunt suitable for smaller or informal groups?
The activity is designed around a minimum of 9 participants. If your group is smaller, get in touch — we can discuss options.
Do you run treasure hunts in other cities?
Yes. Since 2013 we've grown into a network running the same style of team building treasure hunt in Prague, Vienna, Budapest, Rome and Paris.
